Paula Deen Not Yo Mama’s Banana Pudding

A luscious twist on traditional banana pudding! This no-bake dessert features creamy layers of bananas, pudding, and cookies, creating a sweet treat that’s sure to impress.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box (12 oz) chessmen cookies or vanilla wafers
  • 6 to 8 bananas, sliced
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 box (5 oz) instant French vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 container (12 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions:

  1. Layer the Base:
    • Line the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish with one layer of cookies.
    • Arrange sliced bananas evenly on top of the cookies.
  2. Prepare the Pudding Mixture:
    • In a mixing bowl, whisk together milk and pudding mix until smooth. Set aside to thicken.
  3. Make the Cream Layer:
    • In a separate large bowl, beat softened cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until well blended.
    • Fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. Combine Layers:
    • Gently fold the prepared pudding into the cream mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
  5. Assemble the Pudding:
    • Pour the creamy pudding mixture over the bananas, spreading it evenly.
    • Top with another layer of cookies.
  6. Chill and Serve:
    • Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld.
