Low-Calorie Frozen Banana Snacks

Ingredients:

  • 2 large bananas
  • 2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips (or sugar-free chocolate)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon crushed nuts, shredded coconut, or sprinkles (optional)

Directions:

  1. Peel the bananas and cut them into bite-sized slices.
  2. Place the banana slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for about 1 hour.
  3. In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  4. Remove the frozen banana slices from the freezer and dip each slice halfway into the melted chocolate.
  5. Sprinkle the dipped side with crushed nuts, shredded coconut, or sprinkles if desired.
  6. Return the banana slices to the baking sheet and freeze for another 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate hardens.
  7. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a week.
