Beef and Rotini in Garlic Parmesan Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz rotini pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the flour and cook for another minute, then gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat to low and stir in the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the cooked rotini and browned ground beef to the skillet, tossing to coat everything evenly in the garlic Parmesan sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
