Ingredients:

For the Doughnuts:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

For the Filling:

  • 1/2 cup Nutella or chocolate-hazelnut spread

For the Topping:

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream (for smoothness)
  • Crushed Ferrero Rocher candies (about 6-8)

Directions:

  1. Make the dough:
In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a thick dough.
  2. Shape and fry:
Heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C). Roll dough into 1.5-inch balls. Fry in batches for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  3. Fill them up:
Once slightly cooled, use a piping bag fitted with a small tip to fill each doughnut with Nutella.
  4. Dip and top:
Melt chocolate chips with heavy cream until smooth. Dip the tops of the doughnuts into the chocolate. Sprinkle with crushed Ferrero Rocher.
  5. Chill and serve:
Let the chocolate set slightly, then serve warm or at room temperature!
