Ingredients:
For the Doughnuts:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Filling:
- 1/2 cup Nutella or chocolate-hazelnut spread
For the Topping:
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp heavy cream (for smoothness)
- Crushed Ferrero Rocher candies (about 6-8)
Directions:
- Make the dough:
In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a thick dough. - Shape and fry:
Heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C). Roll dough into 1.5-inch balls. Fry in batches for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. - Fill them up:
Once slightly cooled, use a piping bag fitted with a small tip to fill each doughnut with Nutella. - Dip and top:
Melt chocolate chips with heavy cream until smooth. Dip the tops of the doughnuts into the chocolate. Sprinkle with crushed Ferrero Rocher. - Chill and serve:
Let the chocolate set slightly, then serve warm or at room temperature!
