Crockpot Christmas Crack

  1. Line your slow cooker with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
  2. Arrange a layer of saltine crackers on the bottom of the slow cooker, breaking them if needed to fit.
  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together, stirring continuously. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it boil for about 3-4 minutes without stirring. This will create a caramel sauce.
  1. Pour the caramel sauce over the layer of saltine crackers in the slow cooker, making sure to spread it evenly.
  2. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 2 hours.
  3. After 2 hours, melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Carefully spread the melted chocolate over the caramel layer in the slow cooker.
  5. If you’re using nuts, sprinkle them evenly over the chocolate layer.
  1. Optional: Decorate with Christmas sprinkles or crushed candy canes for a festive touch.
  2. Allow the Christmas Crack to cool and set in the slow cooker. You can speed up the process by placing it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
  3. Once completely set, use the parchment paper overhang to lift the Christmas Crack out of the slow cooker. Place it on a cutting board and cut it into squares or break it into pieces.
  4. Serve and enjoy!

This Crockpot Christmas Crack is sure to be a crowd-pleaser, combining sweet caramel, crunchy crackers, and chocolate. It’s a delightful treat for holiday parties and gatherings.
