Two-Step Pound Cake

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 pound real butter
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the ingredients in the order listed: flour, sugar, butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. Using an electric mixer, beat the ingredients on low speed for 1 minute to combine. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  4. Increase the mixer speed to high and beat for an additional 2 minutes until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before inverting it onto a cake plate to cool completely.
