1 cup (150g) all-purpose flour
1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
1/2 cup (120g) unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder
2 large eggs
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup (90g) chopped walnuts
1/2 cup (90g) chocolate chips (optional)
1/4 cup melted chocolate (for topping, optional)
★Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar until well blended.
- Add eggs, vanilla extract, and cocoa powder. Mix well.
- Sift in flour and salt, and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
- For the topping (optional): Drizzle melted chocolate over the brownies and let it set before cutting.
