3. Fried Mushrooms Recipe
Ingredients
8 oz whole mushrooms (button or cremini), cleaned and trimmed
½ cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp paprika (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Oil, for frying (vegetable or canola oil)
Instructions
Prep the mushrooms: Gently wipe mushrooms clean with a damp paper towel. Trim stems if long, but keep mushrooms whole for juicy bites.
Set up breading station:
Bowl 1: Flour seasoned with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper
Bowl 2: Beaten eggs
Bowl 3: Breadcrumbs or panko
Coat the mushrooms: Roll each mushroom in flour → dip in egg → coat in breadcrumbs. Press lightly so the coating sticks.
Heat the oil: Pour about 2 inches of oil into a deep skillet or fryer and heat to 350°F (175°C).
Fry until golden: Fry mushrooms in batches for about 3–4 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown and crisp.
Drain and serve: Place on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot.

Ingredients
1 cup dill pickle slices or spears (well-drained and patted dry)
½ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup cornmeal or breadcrumbs (for extra crunch)
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 large egg
½ cup buttermilk (or milk)
Oil, for frying (vegetable or canola oil)
Instructions
Prepare the pickles: Drain the pickle slices and pat them completely dry with paper towels — this helps the coating stick and stay crisp.
Set up your breading station:
Bowl 1: Mix flour, cornmeal (or breadcrumbs), garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Bowl 2: Whisk egg and buttermilk together.
Coat the pickles: Dip each pickle slice in the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture until well-coated.
Heat the oil: Pour about 1–2 inches of oil into a skillet or deep fryer. Heat to 350°F (175°C).
Fry until golden: Fry pickles in small batches for about 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden and crispy.
Drain and serve: Place on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
