Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef or chicken (optional)
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup sliced jalapeños (optional for heat)
  • 1/2 cup diced red onions
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (for garnish)
  • Salsa (optional, for serving)
  • Guacamole (optional, for serving)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup.
  2. Layer the Tortilla Chips: Spread a layer of tortilla chips across the entire baking sheet. Make sure they cover the surface evenly.
  3. Add the Toppings: Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the chips. Add your cooked ground beef or chicken (if using), black beans, red onions, tomatoes, jalapeños, and black olives. You can add more cheese on top for extra gooeyness!
  4. Bake: Place the sheet pan in the oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep an eye on it to make sure the chips don’t burn.
  5. Finish and Serve: Once the nachos are ready, remove them from the oven. Top with a dollop of sour cream, fresh cilantro, and any additional toppings you like (salsa or guacamole).
  6. Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy your loaded, cheesy nachos!
