For the brownies:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar

Directions:
- Preheat oven:
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease well. - Melt chocolate & butter:
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chopped chocolate until smooth, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. - Mix sugars & eggs:
In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Slowly mix in the slightly cooled chocolate mixture until combined. - Add dry ingredients:
Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir until just incorporated — don’t overmix. - Bake:
