Ingredients:

For the brownies:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp salt

For the topping:

  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional, for extra chocolate drizzle)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven:
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease well.
  2. Melt chocolate & butter:
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chopped chocolate until smooth, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Mix sugars & eggs:
In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Slowly mix in the slightly cooled chocolate mixture until combined.
  4. Add dry ingredients:
Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir until just incorporated — don’t overmix.
  5. Bake:
Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
  6. Add marshmallows:
Remove brownies from the oven and sprinkle the mini marshmallows evenly over the top. Return to the oven for 2–3 minutes until marshmallows puff and lightly toast.
  7. Optional drizzle:
While still warm, drizzle with melted chocolate chips if desired.
  8. Cool & slice:
Let the brownies cool completely before cutting into squares for the cleanest slices.
