Ingredients
For the Steak Patties:
- 1 pound ground beef (80–85% lean)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Mushroom Gravy: - 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions - Prepare the Patties:
Cook the Patties: - Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the patties and cook for 5–6 minutes on each side until browned.
- Remove the patties and set aside.
Make the Gravy: - In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and sauté for 3–4 minutes until soft.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir to combine.
- Gradually add beef broth, stirring to prevent lumps, and bring to a simmer.
Combine and Serve: - Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10–15 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the patties topped with mushroom gravy and garnish with fresh parsley.
