  • 3/4 cup plus 1 or 2 tbsp Bisquick
  • 2 cups shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp celery salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Optional: 8 oz cream cheese (reduced fat or Neufchatel)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the breakfast sausage, Bisquick, shredded cheddar cheese, onion powder, celery salt, and garlic powder. If using cream cheese, add it to the mixture as well.
  3. Stir the ingredients together until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on an ungreased baking sheet, evenly spaced apart.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Once baked, remove the sausage balls from the oven and allow them to cool for 5 minutes before transferring them from the pan.
