Easy Hamburger Potato Casserole

This hearty hamburger potato casserole is comfort food at its best. With layers of seasoned ground beef, tender potatoes, and creamy sauce, it’s perfect for a family dinner!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup with the milk until smooth.
  4. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the prepared baking dish. Spread half of the ground beef on top, followed by half of the soup mixture. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, beef, and soup mixture.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top, and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, if desired.
