These Apple Pie Bombs are bite-sized pastry delights with gooey apple pie filling wrapped in buttery dough and topped with cinnamon sugar. Perfect as a quick dessert or sweet snack!
Ingredients:
- 1 can (8-count) refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands)
- 1 cup apple pie filling (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease or line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- Prepare the filling:
If your apple pie filling has large chunks, chop the apples into smaller pieces. - Fill the dough:
Flatten each biscuit round slightly and place about 1 tablespoon of apple pie filling in the center. Fold the dough over the filling, pinch the edges to seal, and roll into a ball. - Butter and coat:
In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar. Brush each dough ball with melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. - Bake:
Place the bombs seam-side down into the muffin tin or on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown. - Cool and serve:
Let cool slightly before serving. Optionally dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with caramel sauce for extra flair.
