Crab Fettuccine Alfredo

A luxurious, creamy pasta dish that features sweet crab meat in a decadent Alfredo sauce. Perfect for seafood lovers!


Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb fresh or canned crab meat (lump or claw)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes, for a little kick

Directions

  1. Cook the pasta:
    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water.
  2. Prepare the Alfredo sauce:
    In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  3. Make the sauce creamy:
    Add the heavy cream and whole milk to the skillet, stirring constantly. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  4. Add cheese:
    Stir in the grated Parmesan and Romano cheeses, continuing to stir until the cheeses melt and the sauce is smooth. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  5. Add crab meat and lemon juice:
    Gently fold in the crab meat and lemon juice. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the crab is heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Combine pasta and sauce:
    Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the sauce, tossing gently to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit more reserved pasta water to loosen it up.
  7. Serve:
    Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan. Optional: Top with a pinch of red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
