Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 oz coconut water (optional, for extra island vibes)
- 1 oz grenadine
- 1 oz white rum or coconut rum (optional)
- Ice cubes
- Orange slice and maraschino cherry, for garnish
- Sugar (for rimming glass, optional)
- 1/2 oz overproof rum (for flame garnish – optional and with caution)
Directions:
- Prep the glass (optional):
Rim the edge of your glass with a bit of lime juice and dip in sugar for a frosty look. - Layer the drink:
Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour in the pineapple juice, orange juice, and coconut water if using. Add rum if desired. Stir gently to combine. - Add the sunset effect:
Slowly pour grenadine down the side of the glass. It will sink to the bottom and create a beautiful layered effect. - Garnish:
Top with an orange slice and maraschino cherry. - Flaming effect (optional and for adults only!):
Soak a sugar cube in overproof rum, place it on a lime shell or metal spoon above the drink, and carefully light it with a long lighter. Let it flame briefly, then blow it out before enjoying.
