Crispy Baked Ground Beef Tacos

Love tacos but want an easy, mess-free way to make them crispy? These baked ground beef tacos are packed with flavor and perfect for a family dinner or game night!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 10 hard taco shells
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, guacamole

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking dish with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the taco seasoning and water to the skillet with the cooked beef. Stir to combine and let simmer for 3-4 minutes until the liquid is mostly absorbed.
  4. Arrange the taco shells upright in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Spoon the seasoned beef evenly into the taco shells, filling each about halfway.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef in each taco.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the shells are crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven and top with your favorite taco toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and guacamole. Serve immediately.
