Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1/4 cup water
- 10 hard taco shells
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, guacamole
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking dish with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning and water to the skillet with the cooked beef. Stir to combine and let simmer for 3-4 minutes until the liquid is mostly absorbed.
- Arrange the taco shells upright in the prepared baking dish.
- Spoon the seasoned beef evenly into the taco shells, filling each about halfway.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef in each taco.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the shells are crispy.
- Remove from the oven and top with your favorite taco toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and guacamole. Serve immediately.
