A one-pan wonder loaded with tender steak, sautéed peppers and onions, and gooey melted cheese. Perfect served on its own, over rice, or piled into a hoagie roll!
Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin steak (or ribeye), thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
- Optional: red pepper flakes, chopped parsley for garnish
Directions
- Prep the steak:
Slice steak thinly against the grain. Season with salt and pepper. - Cook the veggies:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and bell peppers. Sauté for 5–7 minutes, until softened. Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds. Remove and set aside. - Sear the steak:
In the same skillet, increase heat to medium-high. Add steak in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until just browned. - Add flavor:
Return the veggies to the pan. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and combine well. - Melt the cheese:
Sprinkle cheese over the top. Cover the skillet for 2–3 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. - Serve:
Garnish with red pepper flakes or parsley if desired. Serve hot!
