Banana Sushi

A playful twist on traditional sushi using bananas, spreads, and toppings — no fish involved, just fruity goodness!

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter (or almond/sunflower butter)
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1–2 tbsp mini chocolate chips or crushed nuts
  • 1 tbsp shredded coconut or granola (optional)
  • Fresh fruit slices (strawberries, kiwi, blueberries) for garnish
  • Tortillas (optional, if you want a rolled version)

Directions:

  1. Spread the love:
Peel bananas and lay them on a plate. Spread peanut butter evenly over each banana.
  2. Toppings time:
Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if using. Then sprinkle with mini chocolate chips, crushed nuts, shredded coconut, or granola.
  3. Slice & serve:
Using a sharp knife, slice each banana into sushi-style rounds (about 1-inch thick).
Optional: You can wrap the banana in a tortilla before slicing for a sushi roll look.
  4. Garnish (optional):
Plate with a few strawberry slices or fruit for a colorful finish.
