Crack Green Beans

Ingredients:

  • 5 (8-ounce) cans green beans, drained
  • 12 slices bacon, chopped, cooked until crisp and drained
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 7 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a 9×13-inch baking pan, place the drained green beans and cooked bacon pieces.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, melted butter, soy sauce, and garlic powder until well combined.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the green beans and bacon in the baking pan.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the beans are heated through and the sauce is bubbly and caramelized.
  6. Stir and toss the green beans to coat them evenly in the sauce before serving.

Notes:

  • You can substitute turkey bacon or slices of ham for the regular bacon if desired.
  • Make sure to drain the green beans well before adding them to the baking pan to prevent excess liquid in the dish.
  • This dish is perfect for potlucks and dinner parties as a delicious and easy side dish that will have everyone coming back for seconds!
